Everything is relaxed and cozy for me. Over the years, though, I’ve lowered my expectations. It doesn’t always have to be perfect, but made with love. And that’s why sometimes less is more. More heart and less commercialism.

Yes, we’re totally relaxed over here, too—we’ve never let the holidays stress us out. I’m looking forward to spending time with my family; all the shopping is done, and even if we forgot something, it wouldn’t be a big deal.
Yesterday afternoon I had a doctor’s appointment—the office is right next to the shopping center here. When I came out a little after 5, the street was absolute chaos—traffic jams in every direction. Everyone was trying to get into the Rheincenter, but the parking garage had long since been full. How can people do that to themselves? I would never have thought of something like that.

Things are totally relaxed here too—everything that needed to be done is done, and now it’s time for pure relaxation :-)) My husband is cooking the holiday meals, and I get to lend a hand :-) ;-) So everything’s calm and relaxed on that front, too.
