Can reviews be disputed or changed?

Hello, dear community,

I just noticed in a pattern that someone gave it only one star, stating, “Haven’t tried it yet.”

I don’t think that’s fair, even though I’m not the author. This causes the pattern to drop down in the search results when people sort patterns by rating.

As an author, can I dispute reviews or have them removed? And can I change a review if, for example, I want to give more stars later on?

I think the easiest solution is to send a message to support :) Put the link in the message and write what bothers you. 

I’ve noticed that too, and it’s a real shame... Even when someone buys a pattern in the wrong language, even though it was clearly stated in the description.

Personally, I only review a pattern once I’ve tried it out. And even then, I don’t review the result I managed to achieve, but whether the pattern is written clearly and understandably.
And I also consider whether the description says it is suitable for beginners or rather for advanced crafters.
I think reviews like these are helpful for anyone considering whether or not they want the pattern.
I also write who will receive the finished piece, but that is for the author. So they know it is not just gathering dust in some corner somewhere......

To summarize briefly, the starting point was the same. So, a bad review or just one star because of the wrong language or because it hasn’t been tried yet.

The bottom line is that you can’t intervene in reviews because a review always reflects the perspective of the person giving it, and it would be unfair to be able to change all reviews that don’t suit you.

However, people were also asked to contact the author first before giving a bad review, and to rate only the pattern.
So don’t rate it if you haven’t even looked at the pattern or if what you made doesn’t look like the picture (which is never the case for me either.....).
