Wool...

I DON'T need any wool:
and now I’m stuck with this pile.
To make matters worse, the yarn shop in the next town has, sadly, sadly closed down too. The nearest one is 25 minutes by train and 14 euros away.😢

Oh, you poor thing. You don’t buy wool because you need it...

Marlies, you did a great job shopping. What are you going to make with that beautiful Christmas yarn? Do you have any ideas yet?

No, Petra, I just thought it was so pretty, and before I knew it, it was in my basket. 😉 Maybe it’ll become a door wreath or even a little triangular shawl.
I actually wanted orange acrylic yarn for a pumpkin. They were out of it, so now it’ll be orange-patterned instead. I bought the skein for 0.89 €.
I saw a huge skein in a gorgeous green at a store. I wish I’d picked it up. It would’ve been perfect for my Grinch patterns.

Well, that big green ball of wool you didn’t buy will probably haunt you for a long time. I know the feeling.

It’s a shame your yarn shop in the neighboring town closed down. I doubt anyone would actually get on a train and pay 14 euros in fare just to end up not finding the right thing—or buying only three balls of whatever. It’s exactly the same for me. So sooner or later, I guess we’ll all (have to) become online yarn shoppers. It’s a real shame.

But congratulations on your latest purchase. You’ve bought some beautiful yarns.

Best regards, Ina

Oh Marlies, wool makes you happy, and you can never have enough happiness 😇😇😇
You have a lovely selection there—have fun working with it!

Warm regards
Sonja

This is really beautiful yarn. Lovely colors—I especially love the cotton. You can never have enough cotton in lots of different colors.

I also have a 45-minute drive to the nearest yarn shop. I used to order online for a while, but being able to feel the yarn in a specialty store and chat with the staff is just so much nicer. That’s why I usually go back to the store.

Sometimes I don’t know what makes me happier—buying beautiful yarn or a finished knitted or crocheted piece. It’s a little crazy, really.

Love, Sabine

The craft store in our neighboring town is probably going to close.

The owner is retiring, and so far, no successor has been found. I think that’s a real shame, because I really don’t want to buy anything online. I want to see it and touch it; I want to discuss my ideas with someone.

And there it is...

There was actually even a second one there.
