Thanks, Josefa—I wish the same for you and everyone else here!
Actually, fall isn’t really one of my favorite seasons—it’s usually gloomy and damp, and on top of that, there’s the knowledge that it’ll last for months. But there’s no point in dwelling on that, so I’m focusing on the positive aspects. It’s definitely beautiful when it comes to decor—I love pumpkins and the like, and the colors, of course; orange is taking over.
I’ve decided to do quite a bit more crocheting and knitting so I can empty out my scrap bin before the Advent calendar arrives. I still have plenty of patterns, but that’s the least of my worries—I’m constantly discovering something new here.
I’ve got plenty of thick socks, candles, tea, and yarn, so nothing can go wrong.

Thanks, Josefa! For me, fall is one of my favorite seasons :-)) and it’s off to a great start—I have three birthdays coming up in the next three weeks. The first one is my godmother’s; she’s turning 89 this year and is as fit as a fiddle. Next up is my husband, and then yours truly ;-) But aside from that, I love fall simply for the incredible and beautiful array of colors it brings us every year.

Thanks, and I hope you and everyone else have a wonderful start to fall, too.

The weather was still pretty nice yesterday, but today it’s cloudy and raining a lot. I picked out some yarn earlier and want to knit myself a little scarf.

I love fall with all its colors; the garden is settling down, and I’m making myself cozy on the sofa.

Fall always kicks off with a bang in our family. My son’s birthday is on September 21, and his son’s is the very next day—today. We also just celebrated his first day of school. And all of this with beautiful weather—what more could you ask for?

Every year I’m amazed that summer is already over. Somehow it seems to fly by faster than the other seasons. But fall has its own beautiful days, too. Since the garden is going into hibernation, I have more time for my crafts—and that’s nice, too. Plus, I’ve preserved the fruits of summer, so I can enjoy a little piece of summer again and again.

And here on CP, things never get boring. There’s always something to read, learn, discuss, look at, or recreate.

So let’s welcome fall together! I’m going to do just that right now with my freshly crocheted pumpkins:
