DIY Gifts with Heart (“Gifting with Love”)

My entry for the "DIY Gifts with Heart" Challenge
Title/project name: Warm Christmas Coasters

For whom & why: These coasters are intended for my best friend. She loves cozy evenings during Advent with tea and cookies. The coasters are meant to make her home feel a little warmer and be a loving reminder of our friendship.

Technique/material: Knitted in a simple garter stitch pattern.

• Yarn: Tedi Favorita
  
• Needles: 5 mm bamboo knitting needles
  

Pattern:

• Cast on 15 stitches onto one needle.
  
• Knit every row using only knit stitches.
  
• Continue knitting until the piece is a square (height = width).
  
• Bind off all stitches loosely.
  
• Weave in the ends on the back.

My motivation tip (optional): I set aside half an hour every evening after work to knit in peace. It was my own little mini ritual for switching off from everyday life and getting into the Christmas spirit.
