Warning Day 2025 (Germany): Thursday, September 11, 2025 / Test alarm

Dear Community,
there will be another warning on September 11. Starting at 11 a.m., alarms will sound via sirens, loudspeaker trucks, etc., and alerts will also be sent directly to your cell phones via cell broadcast. The all-clear will be given at 11:45 a.m.

You know how it works: The goal is to ensure that everyone can be reached. Any embarrassment or failure on Warning Day can be used as a learning opportunity to make the entire warning system more reliable. 

 

So, how’s it going?

So far, everything has worked well—except that NINA is still issuing alerts every 5 minutes; they probably haven’t caught on yet that it’s over. :-)

One siren, one cell phone alert, and then the all-clear—right next to the fire department 🙄

At least in the neighboring town there are announcements, but here? Nothing.

The warning went off without a hitch :-))
