Oh, girls, first of all, a big thank you for your compliments :-))
But I was really too lazy to sew today, because there’s still a blouse and the matching pants sitting next to the sewing machine, and there’s also some jersey fabric lying there, not even cut out yet. I’m not that fast, though—it’s just that my training comes in handy when I’m cutting and then sewing.
Here’s a little secret ;-) :-)—the two light-colored stripes on the button placket of my blouse are nothing more than the selvedge of this denim fabric. It was pretty wide, and I thought it would be a waste to cut it off, so I placed my pattern on the fabric in such a way as to incorporate that strip into the blouse. Then I added the decorative stitching, and now it looks as if it was meant to be that way :-))))) As you can see here, you can achieve some really nice effects with tricks like this.
