Dear community,
do you still have any really old yarn stash left, or have you managed to use it all up nicely by now?

Oh, I still have quite a bit of old leftover yarn.
For some of it, I don’t have the time to use it; for some, I haven’t found the right project; and there’s some I just haven’t been able to part with yet...😂

Have a nice evening. I’m off to do some knitting...

No, nothing’s really that old anymore. There’s always plenty of cotton scraps lying around, but I keep using them up. And I’ve finished all the bigger projects—like jackets, blankets, and things like that—so there’s nothing left unfinished. I guess I could actually go shopping again....

My old leftover yarn must have glue on its bottom, because I keep finding little balls of it popping up here and there 😀😃

Love, Ingeborg

Tons of it... unfortunately.

I finally finished my scarf this week—the yarn was bought in 2017. It was just one skein, and I paired it with another yarn that had also been sitting around for a while.

Oops, caught me!
I just knitted myself a sweater with yarn whose label said “Made in West Germany.” I still have similarly old yarn. My father brought it with him back then.
But now I’ve also found a pattern for it.
I’d love to show you a photo, but I can’t get the picture uploaded here. It’s not too big. 🤷
 Kind regards, Marita

Busted 😀. I’m also a wool collector—partly because of inheritances. That’s why my stash still includes some GDR-era wool with “EVP” and “Mark” printed on it🙈. Back then, sock yarn was called “Strumpfwolle.”
Best regards, Claudi
