This is turning into quite a big family. But who wants to be an only child when you can have a sister? Yeah, Rika is definitely the cheekier of the two. You can tell just by looking at her. Have fun dressing her up and accessorizing her. Now you’ll have to knit everything twice, or else there’ll be a fight.

What a lovely gift! I’m still amazed at how doll faces have evolved over the years. My 1960s Schildkröt dolls—and even Schlummerle—didn’t have faces this cute.

Thank you all for your kind words—we have everything we need, and since today is our 35th wedding anniversary, he gave me Rika to go with Steffi. Rika is 55 cm tall, just like Steffi, so I can even use newborn baby sewing patterns for her.

—it’s true, we had our wedding anniversary on the same day. Today marks our 7th wedding anniversary out of a total of 14 years.

Have a wonderful day. The gift from your husband is truly one-of-a-kind. Exactly—that face with the dimples is just so cute. It’s amazing how quickly you get a “new addition” :-))

We both went out for a nice meal today, and later we’ll have fruit tart with whipped cream and a cappuccino—so it’s been a really relaxed, quiet day, since the workweek starts again tomorrow.
