Happy Carnival to everyone. Is there a Rose Monday parade where you are?

Oh yes, Cologne has a huge Rose Monday parade. I briefly tuned in to the live broadcast on WDR, but Carnival isn’t really my thing. We used to live close to the parade route, so we’d always get out of town during Carnival—even later on, though then more out of habit and to escape the winter. Out here on the outskirts of Cologne, you don’t really notice much of the Carnival.

Nothing’s happening here in Brandenburg. We just watched the Rose Monday parade from Frankfurt am Main live on TV because my husband is from there.
Otherwise, it’s been pretty quiet.
