Bored?

Dear users, dear authors,
if you’re ever bored, give this a try:
http://www.stylebook.de/beauty/Beauty-Vloggerin-traegt-116-Nagellackschichten-auf_1-779089.html
Videos with 100+ layers of XY are all the rage on YouTube right now—whether it’s nail polish or foundation, these videos are getting a ton of views. The results of these challenges are usually grotesque.

If you’re really bored, I’ve got a better solution.
1. Browse through lovely patterns and make the prettiest ones right away
you can find them here https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/bestseller
or also here
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/neu

2. Start thinking about Christmas now and make a plan for which of your loved ones should receive a DIY gift. Handmade projects aren’t something you can just finish quickly; they sometimes take time. You put a lot of heart and soul into them.
So having a plan wouldn’t be a bad idea.
How do you handle planning Christmas gifts?
Last-minute isn’t really ideal, unless it’s a small keychain or something similar.

You really can’t get that bored!
I’m crocheting away for the contest right now, so I’m not getting bored at all.

Hahaha.... it’s funny to look at, but I could never get so bored that I’d come up with an idea like that. ;-)))
That said—owning over 100 bottles of nail polish is pretty impressive.
But we could easily match that with yarn, right? ;-)

And I thought it had gone out of style ages ago.

Please spell the word... I don’t know it☺
If I had as much yarn as nail polish, my study would be empty.

hihi :-) If I had as much nail polish as I do yarn, I’d have to start a mail-order business just to get rid of it all ;-)

I’ll be turning 30 in September, and two or three weeks ago I bought nail polish for the first time in my life. :-) (And even then, only for crafting.)
My yarn has its own bookshelf, so it should be arranged by color. (It *should* be, because my kids have already caught a bit of the yarn bug, too. They aren’t always so tidy.) This bookshelf is right next to the sofa...

I’m never bored, though, because as soon as I have a spare moment, I’ve already got my needles and yarn in hand. And if not that, I grab the kids and the dog and we head out into the woods (even if it’s just with the dog late in the evening).

As for the amount of nail polish, I always thought my sister had an extreme amount. But apparently I was wrong—she says she owns 20 bottles.
When I think of the vast amounts of yarn I store in the attic and basement (my husband eventually gave up asking, “Isn’t that enough?”), I really have no right to say that anyone else has too much of anything.

Hey there,
since my uncle, who lives with us, was bored, I showed him Josefa’s link :-)

As a result, he’s finally going to build my next yarn shelf for me... He immediately trotted off to the basement and muttered something about “women”… so boredom has been eradicated in our house, and I have some new storage space again (it doesn’t really help—my room is too small, haha).

So, I’m definitely not bored. I have so many new ideas swirling around in my head, and I also have three patterns waiting to be written. I don’t even know where to start. Hihi

I just found these posts and read through them, so I’m not bored either. With all the cute patterns here on CP, you can always find something you want to crochet.
No sooner is one crochet project finished than you already have the next one in mind. My to-do list is soooo long—there just aren’t enough hours in the day for everything I’d like to do.
Besides crocheting, I also have my beading hobby, which is currently on a “break.” One thing at a time. Then I get orders from coworkers asking me to crochet something, and every now and then there are milestone birthdays coming up, so I make greeting cards (which, by the way, was my third hobby: crafting with paper, beads, and embroidery thread), and that’s practically how I use up the leftover materials I have.
Every now and then I need a break because my hand hurts from all the crocheting, but I want to get soooo much done. But don’t worry—I don’t stress about it; on the contrary, it’s relaxing.
After all, I have to use up all that yarn.
But the best part is that my sweetheart has his own hobby too (model building). So we both craft, and in the end we check out each other’s work or give each other tips—like, “How would you do that?” or “Do you like this color better, or that one…?”—or we swap craft supplies that we can use right away. For example, snap hooks for wire, or nylon thread for old CDs (which can be used as the bottom of a bag). It’s actually pretty funny sometimes.

@ Bastelfan
we have that in common. My husband is also a model builder and a classic car restorer. That means I sit in the summerhouse in the garden doing my needlework, and he tinkers either with the classic car or with one of his model helicopters or planes.
And the kids are either lying under the car with him, or they’ve disappeared again with their friends. There’s a small playground and a large sports field down our street, and behind that a big forest.

Or when school starts again, it’s unfortunately no longer quite so relaxing. Then I’m more likely to sit inside and study with the kids.
So boredom doesn’t stand a chance with me!

That sounds interesting too, with the model helicopter. My husband still has a little quadcopter like that; he flies it every now and then, equipped with a GoPro camera, and we get wonderful pictures from above (discreetly, of course, not filming any neighbors or anything, just the landscape and us). There really are some amazing things.

Here in Norway, the landscape is ideal for shots like that. The gorgeous waterfalls.
The forest starts right behind the front door, with a babbling spring right in the middle.
