How do I calculate the rise?

Rise refers to the part of the body between the seat (i.e., the buttocks) and the waist. First, have someone measure from your waist to your ankle, and then have them measure from the crotch (inner leg) down to the inner ankle. NEVER MEASURE THIS YOURSELF!!! IT WILL NEVER BE ACCURATE, BECAUSE YOU’LL BEND OVER TO SEE WHAT’S ON THE MEASURING TAPE AND YOU’LL END UP WITH THE WRONG MEASUREMENT!!! So ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE MEASURE IT FOR YOU. The inseam measurement is subtracted from the side length measurement, and the result is the rise measurement. Important for pants.
