How was Christmas? Did you see the Christ Child?

How was Christmas? Did you see the Christ Child? 

I didn’t see the Christ Child, but he definitely stopped by our place.

We had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the holidays.

I hope your Christmas was wonderful too and that you were able to enjoy the holidays. 

I didn’t see the Christ Child either, but he stopped by our place too and brought Göga and me some gifts :-)
On Christmas Day, our daughter was here with her boys, and we had a lovely, cozy afternoon that stretched into the evening — I really enjoyed it. Boxing Day was just for Göga and me, and we relaxed and made ourselves comfortable.

Christmas was so wonderful. Our grandnephew, little Carl, who’s 4 years old, was with us on Christmas Eve.
The curiosity, the impatience, the anticipation of opening presents.
I told him stories about Santa Claus, who has so much to do. Those eyes, staring at you with so much emotion....
That’s what Christmas means to us. A little bit of happiness with the family.

I didn’t see the Christ Child either. On Christmas Eve, I went to our indoor pool at 7:00 a.m. for a candlelit swim. It was really nice—there were little LED lights everywhere, Christmas music was playing, and they served tea and coffee. Afterward, I prepared a Christmas Eve brunch that everyone could help themselves to throughout the day. For the day, I got three pairs of Christmas socks, and each of us wore them all day long. We took a long afternoon nap, and in the late afternoon we had a very small gift-giving ceremony, and then I cooked dinner with my daughter. We listened to a Christmas story on the radio and danced to Christmas music. Our thoughts were always with our dog, who passed away in October. I had a calendar made with photos of her and a mug for my partner; my daughter received a phone case with her paw print on it. Everything was simple and relaxed, without any stress—just lovely and peaceful. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

It is wonderful every year when Jesus comes to us humans.

Not the Christ Child, but lots of angels. Since my husband is still in the hospital, we spent Christmas there, along with quite a few others and the wonderful nursing staff—you can’t praise them highly enough for everything they do.
