Dear Community,
Do you have sock yarn / leftover sock yarn? If so, you’ll find must-have patterns here for using them up.

@Sellers,
You can feature 2–3 relevant patterns per seller, each with at least 10 sales and a conversion rate of at least 2%, along with a link, image, and details, provided they have not been promoted in the forum within the past 3 weeks.

Sock yarn today looks different from the sock yarn of the past. It used to be rather dark and unobtrusive. After all, people only knitted socks from it. That has changed. Today there is sock yarn with colorful, eye-catching color gradients and even sock yarn in neon colors. Since sock yarn has a long yardage, the thread is nice and thin. That’s why it’s ideal for knitting and crocheting doll clothes. See for yourselves!

I hope you have lots of fun making them.
Warm regards from Ina

Long Dress with a Slit for Small Dolls

For each dress, we need up to 20 g of sock yarn in our favorite colors. The modern evening dress with a slit is knitted with a set of double-pointed needles. Thanks to the pattern, it automatically fits at the waist and highlights the slim silhouette of our little fashion dolls.

Cardigans for Dolls

Our dolls don’t just go out looking chic in the evening; they also meet up during the day for a little stroll. For that, they need to be dressed warmly in fall and winter. How about a lovely cardigan? The cardigan is knitted in one piece as a top-down raglan. It has no seams. The length is variable. Small leftover bits of sock yarn are enough.

Poncho with Fringe

Finally, here’s a recommendation for the grown-ups. How about a casual poncho made from 6-ply sock yarn? The play of colors comes straight from the ball of yarn. The pattern and the cut are as simple as can be—knitting beginners with staying power can manage it too.

I also have a few knitting patterns for doll clothes made from sock yarn for you.

This turtleneck sweater with matching hat looks complicated because of the Norwegian pattern, but it forms all by itself from the ball of yarn. The sweater is knitted as a top-down raglan. That makes it easy to adjust to fit the little dolls. It can be knitted for male and female fashion dolls.

I also used leftover sock yarn for this striped jacket . It is knitted sideways. If you work the stripes with glitter yarn, the jacket looks very elegant (on the far right in the picture).

And here is another knitted set consisting of a vest, a beanie hat, and leg warmers. The pieces are very easy to make, only the leg warmers are a little fiddly because they are so narrow. But you can make it a bit easier here too if you don’t knit them in the round, but in rows, and then sew the leg warmers together at the back with a seam.

I knit scarves out of sock yarn that’s actually meant to make two identical socks. I got so bored with that that I came up with this new use for it. Each scarf uses exactly one 100-gram skein of sock yarn. The yellow accent stripe is incorporated into the design and gives the scarves a special touch.

I always knit spiral socks for the whole family. These are socks without a heel. Thanks to their shape, the sock adapts to the shape of the foot, so the socks fit across several sizes—especially popular with children and as guest socks.

I offer these spiral socks in my shop, and you can easily knit them from size 14–18 up to size 46–47. The pattern is described in detail with pictures, so as a beginner with practice using a set of double-pointed needles, you’ll be able to knit these socks.
