Dear users, dear authors,

Of course, we also have children’s shoes in our shop. Especially in winter, you always need to keep your feet warm.

Here are a few particularly lovely examples; there’s even more to choose from in the shop.

You’ll never get bored with these shoes...

The lower part with the sole is knitted with a set of double-pointed needles; there’s no sewing involved at the end.

The top edge is crocheted to close it off.

You can use any yarn. It’s also ideal for using up leftover yarn.

Oh, these are all such cute little shoes for the very smallest ones. But slightly bigger children’s feet need to be warm and cozy too. That’s why I recommend my felted boots with a roll-down cuff, which you can knit in all sizes (from size 20) and felt yourself in the washing machine. Felt wool is a wonderful material; it keeps you comfortably warm and is breathable. Feet are kept warm, while excess heat can escape through the natural fibers. Felt wool does not absorb odors. If the soles are rubberized, kids can run around safely in them.

Depending on the shoe size, you’ll need between 100 and 200 g of felt wool (yardage 50 g = 50 meters) and a size 6 circular knitting needle. For the roll-down cuff, you can use something from your leftover stash that matches the felted shoe in color.

In the very detailed step-by-step pattern you’ll find out exactly how it’s done. We knit knit and purl stitches. The pattern is also suitable for knitting and felting beginners .

I hope you enjoy the pattern - Yours, Ina

Spring is just around the corner, so the little shoes don’t need to be quite as warm.

A pair of knitted low shoes is just right.

Quick to knit from leftover yarn, they make a lovely gift for a first visit to a new baby.

Find the pattern here

Cotton (e.g. Catania) is just as suitable as wool or leftover yarn from sock knitting. Depending on the yarn weight and type, the little shoes will come out in different sizes.
