Dear users, dear authors,
dear little helpers,
what are you working on right now?

I finally cut out the pants and the top yesterday; if everything goes well, I’ll get to the sewing machine today. Otherwise, it’ll have to wait until I’ve recovered from my second cataract operation, since I’m due for that tomorrow.

Best regards, Inge

If only I knew! 😂
There’s another Mystery CAL in the Lacritza Advent calendar—the first part was in the little bag yesterday.

Every day I’m baking Christmas cookies and also working on a St. Nicholas Day gift for my grandson. I hope I’ll be finished by tonight.

@Inge I wish you all the best for your eye surgery

My husband and I decided today that, instead of getting square eyes from all the nonsense that’s on TV all the time, we’d rather bake our nut cookies

Best wishes, Inge

Hi, I’m baking cookies, too. I bought an Advent calendar from Märchengarne.
I’ve started crocheting a shawl from the yarn inside. It also came with two patterns.

I went shopping...

The preparations for Christmas can begin

Thanks, Petra. I came through the surgery very well; the eye patch is already off. Now I just need to let it heal properly. Then both eyes will be able to see again, and I’ll be able to see my work clearly and precisely once more.

Best regards, Inge

I’m currently sewing up the last few little details.
This year I’m making gingerbread men—so far I have 14, and I’d like to finish 2 more.
They’re for people who are important to me, as a little token of appreciation.

Wow, you’ve all been so hard at work, and Inge, it’s great to hear you’re feeling better again.

I’m baking cookies too—the first batch is already gone.

I’m trying out an online pattern and found this here.

Andrea, your crochet projects look interesting. Both the doily and the ball. Did you have fun crocheting these little things?

My grandson asked for a Christmas pickle. That’s what I used to fill his St. Nicholas boot from 2022.

There are now 7 different kinds of cookies in the cookie jar. Baking makes me happy this year, and the family is delighted.....

Thanks, Petra. Your projects look really pretty, too. How did you come up with the idea for a Christmas cucumber?
Above all, your cookies look delicious—better than mine :-)

Yeah, the crochet projects go by in a flash. The round one is Tunisian crochet—I tried it out, and it’s so much fun, plus it’s easy and quick to crochet. Found it on You...e via Örgü Diyan...
It definitely won’t be the last one.

Wishing you all a peaceful Second Sunday of Advent

Thanks, Andrea

I’ve never tried Tunisian crochet before. But your doily is super cute, and it’s piqued my curiosity. I’ll have to watch a video to see if it’s something for me.

You can now find the Christmas cucumbers among the Christmas ornaments. But 16 euros was too much for me, so I decided to crochet them instead.

Have a wonderful Second Sunday of Advent

I just started another pair of banana socks. The yarn is super soft (it has angora in it), and someone named Freda has something to look forward to.

I received this beautiful yarn in berry shades in a Secret Santa exchange; it’s definitely going to become socks for me. Seeing while knitting is getting better and better.

Best regards, Inge

What are banana socks, anyway? And I think the yarn you both use is great!

This is what my banana socks look like. I knitted just this one pair for my sweetheart. He loves wearing them as bedtime socks.

I’ve finished knitting a summer dress. The main thing is that I don’t gain too much weight by next summer. 😆😉

A great dress :-))
I’m still knitting my socks myself; the first one is finished, and I’m currently working on the leg of the second one.

Best regards, Inge

Wow, that dress looks great. I hope you have a wonderful summer in 2025 so you can proudly show it off.

I’ve picked up my stitches again for the first time in months and am knitting some arm warmers. My cousin asked me to make some.

I’m using up fabric scraps—here, for example, to make a penguin cell phone holder; by the way, the sewing pattern is from here, from   https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/store/jotdot-jeans-upcycling  —I really like this little one.

That penguin is really cool :-)))
I’m currently sewing a hedgehog that I designed myself

Best regards, Inge

My Balduin the little hedgehog is finished—let’s see where he ends up :-))
I’ve already sewn Balduin in all sorts of sizes, and I designed him myself about 10 years ago.

Best regards, Inge
