Increasing Stitches in Filet Crochet

Dear users, dear authors,
I’ve heard that increasing stitches in filet crochet is a bit more complicated because you have to increase more stitches to gain height? Would you like to share your thoughts on this?

Hi, if it’s just for one or two squares, you can simply do it with treble crochet stitches. This only works for the end of the row.
If you need more, I always make an extra foundation chain. Then you just have to weave in the end.

It’s easier at the beginning of the row. Just make the appropriate number of chain stitches. Then work through the squares—filled or empty.

That’s for straight increases. If you want it to be angular.

That’s just how I do it.


But I’m sure there are other ways to do it.
