Christmas Market

Hello everyone,

I’d like to crochet some small items to donate to two or three organizations. They’ll then sell these at the Christmas market, and the proceeds will go to support them.

So here’s my question: What can I contribute? I already have some ideas, but I’m not sure if they’ll really be a hit. :)

What would you definitely buy, and what would you make?

I’d definitely recommend that you only crochet items that are safe. 

If you make amigurumi, you’ll be subject to the CE marking requirement. If the association is inspected, there can be hefty fines. 

So I’d stick to things like potholders (cotton only), washcloths, hats, etc. 

(Don’t forget the textile labeling requirement for clothing!)

Socks always sell quite well at the Christmas market and are popular with shoppers.

I’d probably check out wrist warmers with pretty patterns—young people like those, too.

Yes, I already had my concerns about the CE marking. That rules out little animal keychains too :)

I’ll probably stick with potholders and wrist warmers. 
Maybe a few angels and fir trees too. Or Christmas tree baubles (probably not animal-shaped either ;))
