What are the advantages of shawl collars?

What advantages do shawl collars offer compared to scarves and infinity scarves?

Wrap-around collars fit perfectly: they keep both your neck and chest warm.
Unlike a scarf, there are no long ends that you have to tuck into your jacket or that hang loosely out of it, which can sometimes get caught on things.
Unlike a loop, the shawl collar also keeps the chest area warm, and if there are buttons on the front, you don’t have to pull it over your head. That way, your hairstyle stays intact ;-)

I love shawl collars! I don’t care about my hair—just pull it over and you’re done. Like Petra says, no fuss.
