Knitting and Crocheting Lace Edgings

Dear users, dear designers,
can lace for edgings or borders, etc. only turn out really well when crocheted, or does it work when knitted too? In the shop, we have suitable patterns for both types of needlework, but I’d love to hear about your experiences.

It depends on where the border will be used.

For blankets and other items that are firm(er), I think crocheted borders look better.
For clothing and anything that drapes loosely, I would use knitted borders.

That’s exactly how I’d handle it, too.

But if I need a crocheted border for my amigurumi or dolls, I’d use very fine crochet yarn with a 1.75 needle—it looks very delicate that way.
