that’s the literal translation of the English term “stocking stitch.”
And it means nothing other than “stockinette stitch.” 

You find oddities like this in translation programs or with people who don’t know the original technical terminology. They simply translate word for word. For those who rely on the translation, a pattern like that can become quite a guessing game.
