Halloween decorations look especially spooky when they’re lit up. Here are two decoration ideas you can make using leftover yarn. Use LED lights for the illumination.

An empty jam jar can be turned into a spooky
skull lantern. The skull isn’t hard to crochet; the instructions are given round by round. Fill the jar with candy and bring it to the Halloween party! Once the jar is empty, it can be lit with a string of lights or a tea light.

These little bats are quick to crochet from a few leftovers of black and gray yarn. Hang them on a string of lights so that the LED lights look like glowing eyes! This
bat string of lights looks especially decorative in a window.
You can also use the bats to make a mobile, as keychains, or to decorate a Halloween door wreath.
