Halloween decorations look especially spooky when they’re lit up. Here are two decoration ideas you can make using leftover yarn. Use LED lights for the illumination.



An empty jam jar can be turned into a spooky skull lantern. The skull isn’t hard to crochet; the instructions are given round by round. Fill the jar with candy and bring it to the Halloween party! Once the jar is empty, it can be lit with a string of lights or a tea light.



These little bats are quick to crochet from a few leftovers of black and gray yarn. Hang them on a string of lights so that the LED lights look like glowing eyes! This bat string of lights looks especially decorative in a window.
You can also use the bats to make a mobile, as keychains, or to decorate a Halloween door wreath.

To keep enjoying fall’s vibrant colors for a long time to come, you can make these fall leaves for your windows.



The leaves are made from photo cardstock and tracing paper and measure about 16 to 20 cm. They’re easy for beginners to recreate, but you should already be skilled at using a craft knife.

It’s that time of year again for wrist warmers. In my selection, you’ll find various knitted styles with thumb gussets.

My lace scarf “Elfenreigen,” in the large version made with 200g of lace yarn, is a great neck and shoulder warmer for fall. The pattern requires concentration but is described in detail, both row by row and with a chart.

My men’s scarf “Eifelyak” is also suitable for women—with the right color choice. It’s knitted using 300g of yarn with a yardage of 200m per 100g; I used soft yak wool.

Autumn Leaves
My crochet pattern for the Autumn Leaves triangular shawl looks good in any color. But I personally really love the autumn color palette. That’s why I crocheted myself a triangular shawl made up of lots of little leaves.
