It’s going to be really hot here today—around 30 degrees. Still, I’ve made plans with my coworker to go into town, stroll around, and grab some ice cream. That’s perfect for this weather. Otherwise, I’m crocheting little things (hair for my amigurumi doll, little crocheted pouches, mosaics... and doing some beading here and there). There’s always something to tinker with when you have time off.

Your butterflies have definitely multiplied in droves there, because we have so many fluttering through the butterfly bush that they’re already landing on us. Mainly peacock butterflies.

It’s also very hot here—it’s almost unbearable outside because there’s no wind today.

I was really happy to see them, too—we haven’t had this many butterflies in a long time. The butterfly bush is slowly finishing up its bloom, but the hibiscus, the beard flowers, the speedwell, and some of the sage, coneflowers, and scabious are still blooming vigorously—that’s where the butterflies are flocking to now

This picture reminds me of the hours I spent in the garden gathering inspiration for my sewing and embroidery projects. A pink rose with a butterfly—that would be an interesting idea for an embroidery project :-). A very pretty picture.
