Dear users, dear authors,
here in this thread and in the shop, you can download patterns for using sock yarn and leftover sock yarn. There’s sure to be a lovely new project for each of you.

@Authors,
all patterns promoted here in this thread must not have been promoted in the forum within the past 3 weeks and must have at least 10 sales / a CR of at least 2%. Don’t forget links, pictures, info, etc.

Sock yarn used to be only black or gray or blue—but today there are bright colors and also sock yarn with wonderful color gradients. Of course you can knit socks from it, but the beautiful yarns are almost too lovely for that. Since sock yarn is rather fine, you can also knit or crochet delicate doll clothes from it.

Feel free to take a look at my ideas in my shop. Here are two small examples. Tiny scraps are enough.

I hope you have lots of fun making them.
Warm regards from Ina

Poncho in different variations with hat

This poncho is crocheted from 2 pieces. There are different options for variations. It’s a nice project even for children who are just learning to crochet and need quick success.

Cardigan in variable length

It is knitted as a top-down raglan in one piece. The length is variable. We knit with a set of double-pointed needles.

Sock yarn made from virgin wool is great for winter, because it keeps you very warm.
Sock yarn with bamboo, on the other hand, is great for summer.
That way you can wear hand-knitted or hand-crocheted socks all year round.

My “Spirelli Spring” crochet socks are crocheted from the toe up.
This gives you the option to decide for yourself how long your socks should be.

My summery “Herzallerliebst” heart socks are knitted.
I also start these socks at the toe and knit upward.
You can also knit these socks with sock yarn containing virgin wool.
It’s best to use solid-colored yarn so the hearts show up nicely.

Sock yarn can be used for more than just socks.
I crocheted these chic fingerless mitts in Japanese style from Gründl Hot Socks Torbole 4-ply. They are Fingerless Mitts No. II from my “Noriaki” series.
They are very easy to make, and about 60 g of sock yarn is enough for 1 pair in a women’s size.
You can also use leftovers, which makes them even more colorful…

Have fun crocheting and knitting
Best wishes, Mona (Froschoma_Mona)

This baby winter set is knitted from leftover sock yarn. Even if the leftovers are only enough for one of these pieces, they’ve been put to wonderful use, and the baby is wrapped up cozy and warm for the outing.

And here are the baby leggings whose leftover yarn I used for the winter set. Even the thickest diaper fits inside these comfortable leggings. They even still fit my granddaughter when she was 1.5 years old.
