You can knit a great hot water bottle cover out of leftover sock yarn. It’s really easy. This keeps the heat in for a long time and feels nice and cozy.

This model of a baby bonnet is perfect for leftovers. It used 35 grams, and the double crochet pattern is fun to crochet.

Leftovers are also great for children's socks. Here I have a pattern for spiral socks for you.

Spiral socks are knitted without a heel. Thanks to the pattern, they adapt to the shape of the foot, so they can be worn for a long time because they grow a bit with the child. Especially for children in rubber boots or as house socks. They're also great to offer to guests.

You can knit the socks in sizes 14 to 46. For the smallest socks, the yarn usage was 24 grams.

The side-to-side knitted jacket for fashion dolls fits all 29–30 cm dress-up dolls and was knitted from just a few colorful leftover sock yarn scraps. The buttons are small beads.
You can make the jacket very colorful, or if you’d like it a bit more elegant, you can also work with glitter yarn (doll on the right in the picture)

The turtleneck sweater with matching hat is also knitted from leftover sock yarn scraps. It fits male and female dress-up dolls because it is worked as a top-down raglan, so the size can be adjusted easily. It is knitted in stockinette stitch. The Norwegian patterning forms all by itself from the skein.

Of course, the word sock yarn suggests that you use it to knit socks. But these days, sock yarn is no longer just dark and inconspicuous; it comes in light, bright, or bold colors. You can knit or crochet much more than just socks with it. Here are a few examples from me.

I hope you have lots of fun making them.

Warm regards from Ina

Doll clothes "Flounced Skirt with Top"

Both pieces are crocheted from just a few grams and fastened at the back with snap fasteners. The skirt length is variable. The bright yellow-green set is actually made from sock yarn. But you can also crochet the items from any other thin yarns you like. All the dolls are sure to get something new to wear.

Poncho for Small Dolls

Here are a few more pretty examples of doll fashion made from sock yarn. The poncho looks especially good with color-gradient sock yarn. You can combine different collar variations and a hat with the poncho. The basic poncho model is also suitable for children who are just starting to crochet. A simple design that always turns out well.

Knitted Fashion Series "Basics"

Yes, I also have something suitable on offer for knitting fans. You can knit 7 enchanting models that can be combined wonderfully with one another. The items look just as lovely in solid-color sock yarn as they do in colorful yarn. Just give it a try right away. Each model needs only a very small amount of material, so leftovers are enough too.
