Recycled wool

Dear Users, Dear Authors,
When do we refer to wool as “recycled wool”? Do you work with recycled wool, or not really?

Would you like to add anything else on this topic?

For me, recycled wool is wool that’s been unraveled from a previously knitted item and reused, just like I did with my blanket. In that case, though, I mixed newly purchased wool with the recycled wool; otherwise, the blanket would have turned out too drab in terms of color.

Okay, so there’s some overlap with unraveled wool.
But I was thinking more specifically of machine-cleaned and reprocessed wool, even though I’m not entirely sure if there’s actually a big market for it. 

I’m currently knitting with a new yarn from myboshi. It’s called Demin and is made of 50% cotton and 50% recycled denim yarn. It’s a pleasure to work with!

I enjoy knitting with Drops’ recycled cotton. It’s durable, washes well, and comes in many vibrant colors. That’s always a great way to help the environment.

Does this perhaps also refer to the undercoat of certain dog breeds?
For example, you can have wool made from the undercoat of huskies.
I think that’s cool.
It’s supposed to be really warm and cozy for hats or scarves.
