Do you have enough yarn? How’s your yarn stash looking? Do you have enough yarn for your current project?

Enough?
I have so much yarn I could bathe in it! 🥰
It’s great, but:
Now I really have to go a long time without buying anything, and that’s torture when I see something great.
Every now and then, I do make a little exception ... 😇
And for some projects, I still don’t have the right yarn—it’s actually unbelievable! 😅

Luckily, I keep reading that I’m not the only one who’s this crazy about yarn! 😆

Dear Karoline, that’s exactly the big problem: the yarn stash is gigantic, but of course it’s always missing exactly the material or the color you absolutely need for a new project. I just had to buy two skeins of cotton again because my impressive stash didn’t have the right shades of red. And for the doll carriage blanket for my granddaughter, the desired yarn unfortunately isn’t there either!

Define “enough”! 🤣
Actually, you always have way too many scraps, and I’ve been able to use up quite a few lately, so the scrap box is starting to get gaps.... Gosh, but that makes me nervous too! 🤣
I also still have quite a bit in stock for slightly larger projects, but right now I’m having a really hard time deciding what I should make for myself. I’ve already started something twice and unraveled it again.

Well, I have more than enough at the moment, but as Christina wrote, there’s always this or that color missing. Oh well, you just work with what you have—especially with a colorful blanket, it’s not such a big deal.

I have more than enough. And I haven’t bought anything yet this year.

But on vacation I’d like to knit or crochet something for the summer, and I really don’t have the right yarn for that.

So I’m going to go shopping and hope to find a nice summer yarn.

Yes, you never have the right yarn at home.

More than enough crochet yarn. And I’ve got a few bobbles in stock, too.
But when I see a really beautiful yarn, I find it hard to walk past.

Another problem is that during my weekly visit to the farmers’ market, there’s a craft store right across the street—right next to the bus station. That makes it especially hard not to go in and buy something. 😁

I’m currently working on projects where I’m using up my leftover yarn. So I think the mountain of yarn is shrinking a bit 😅

I feel discriminated against ;-)
Instead of hoarding wool like I used to, I now collect beautiful fabrics. It’s just as exciting, if not more so.

Dear Ina,
I’d love to learn how to sew, but that’s exactly my problem: I’d end up accumulating a whole stash of fabric! 😂😂😂

There are soooo many beautiful fabrics, patterns, etc. 🙈

Oh yes, I have plenty of fabric, too. But I’m always missing just the right one. 🙈
I always try to use up what I have first, though.
