Just watching TV is boring. Everyone who enjoys doing crafts uses this time to let the needles click. Here are a few examples of the projects I made while watching TV.

Knitted Blanket with Fringe

A beautiful blanket in terms of both its look and how it is made. We only knit knit stitches and don’t have to weave in any ends. Every blanket will be one of a kind. This is also a great way to use up all your leftovers. For my blankets, though, I bought soft Drops yarn on sale and chose colors that harmonize well together: once in light “chalk colors” and once a little bolder. Anything you like is allowed.





Endless Blanket

It is crocheted. I crocheted it with a yarn cake so that the gradient comes automatically from the cake. The blanket will be as large as you want or as far as your yarn will go. You can continue the pattern endlessly. We simply crochet the same 2 stitches all the way around the square. Before you know it, you have a wonderful blanket with texture. I chose a yarn cake made of soft merino wool, so I can be sure it will keep me warm, too.





Poncho with Fringe

After the blanket with fringe above, here is something stylish to wear that also has fringe. The fringe is what gives this poncho its rustic, modern look. It is very easy to knit. If you use gradient yarn, knitting and wearing it are even more fun. I knitted mine with 6-ply sock yarn. And every now and then I knitted in a subtle silver thread as decoration. You only see it when you move while wearing the poncho. That gives it a little touch of “chic.”

This hot water bottle cover made from sock yarn is a quick and easy knit and makes any hot water bottle even cozier. It’s also a great way to combine leftover yarn. There’s plenty of room for creativity when it comes to colors and patterns.
