If my parents were still alive, I would lovingly make the following gifts for them:
My mom would get a warm knitted cardigan. Older people get cold easily, so a cardigan is always a good and quick source of warmth. The cardigan has large pockets, a lengthening shawl collar, and a belt. Of course, I would knit it in her favorite colors. The play of colors comes directly from the beautiful thick yarn. We knit it as a top-down raglan, so there are hardly any ends to weave in.

For my father, I would knit warm felted slippers. Of course, I would sew a leather sole underneath so they wouldn’t be slippery. I would choose the tall felted shoe model with the roll collar. Men tend not to like colors that are too flashy, so maybe something like these here ...
