"Digital life fuels a longing for tradition": do you agree?

Dear users, dear authors,
years ago, the magazine “Der Spiegel” published an article on the topic of crafts, stating that “digital life fuels a longing for tradition,” which also includes crafts.
Would you agree with that? Are crafts part of the counterbalance to digital life? Here at Crazypatterns, we combine both, so they don’t have to be at odds with each other. What do you think?
