Stitch marker falling out?

My stitch marker keeps coming loose. Plus, it bothers me while I’m knitting. It’s one of those little plastic rings. I think I’ll stick to using yarn instead.

What do you guys think? Do you use stitch markers? I think they’re silly 🙎

I usually use yarn too, but for the edges and in many places, I find those plastic rings quite handy.

I either use a piece of yarn or markers with a clasp. They’re really handy for crocheting. I’ve stopped using those little rings now. I kept losing them all the time.

I only use threads as markers

I don’t like them at all either.
But sometimes there’s no way around it if you don’t want to constantly count where the beginning of the round is.
Mine are made of metal and can be closed like safety pins. Those bother me the least. I only use a more noticeable one for the beginning of the round—a gift from a friend—otherwise I just knit right over them. 

I like using these colorful plastic stitch markers (similar to safety pins). Yarn would just slip right off for me.
It actually works fine when I’m crocheting. It doesn’t bother me that much. I don’t like those little rings.

I have those too, but I find they always leave a visible hole in tight crochet pieces because they stretch the stitches so much.
With the yarn, I tie a knot that ends up on the inside/back, since they tend to slip out toward the outside/front—it works wonderfully

I use small carabiners as stitch markers.
I get along just fine with them.
