Sewing or embroidering luminary bags

Dear users, dear authors,
the shop often has patterns on “embroidering luminary bags / embroidering light bags.” If I understand correctly, these are light-up decorations in the form of a cotton bag with an LED tea light? Are these luminary bags currently on trend, or have they been around for a while?

I’ve known about illuminated paper bags for a long time, but I haven’t seen them made as cotton bags yet. Not a bad idea at all—I’ll think about it right away.

They’ve been around for a while—
I sewed one years ago.
Last year, I gave one to my daughter-in-law with a picture from her wedding. It was so beautiful, and I just had to do something with it… I printed the picture on my printer and transferred it to the fabric using fabric transfer medium.
  I placed a pickle jar inside and lit it up with a small string of lights.
