We took advantage of the lovely weather one more time for a bike ride to our favorite ice cream shop

Other than that, we have plans with friends, a day looking after our grandson, and a planned visit to a flea market. This is a very long weekend for us because of the public holiday

It’s raining here today, but it’s still quite warm, and the weekend is supposed to be drier. Then we’ll definitely still be able to use the balcony; in the height of summer it’s way too hot out there, but now it’s really nice again. The summer flowers are still in the planters, but you can already tell that fall is coming—they’re noticeably fading. I still need a few sunny days to get the remaining tomatoes to turn red, and then I’ll clear the balcony, but not this weekend yet.
Of course, I’ll be crocheting and reading, too—I got a box full of mystery novels today that I haven’t read yet—awesome!
Other than that, it’s time to put my feet up—I have an inflammation in my Achilles tendon, which is a bit of a nuisance. I already took care of the weekend grocery shopping today.

Tomorrow I get to set up my market stall at the small animal show and sell my items. I’m looking forward to it 😊
So I need to sort and pack my things today.....

We’re celebrating Harvest Festival in our community this weekend, and it’s my husband’s birthday on Monday, so I’ve already baked a cake—a plum cake—and some raspberry ice cream has been churning in the ice cream maker :-) and is now in the freezer.
