What’s Your Weather Doing?

Dear users, dear designers,
what’s your weather doing? Are you doing okay in the heat? Is crafting still fun, or do you need a break from yarn? Have you switched to cotton yarn?

Here in Cologne, it’s quite pleasant. Summery, yes, but nothing more—around 25 degrees, light cloud cover, a gentle breeze, and cooler at night, so it’s perfect.
Nothing stops me from crafting—I hardly ever sweat, so that’s not a problem, even though I generally like working with cotton. But I still crocheted one more row on the acrylic yarn temperature blanket every day, even when it was well over 30 degrees.
Now it’s just nice that I can sit out on the balcony again while I work—which isn’t possible on very sunny or very hot days.

Weather-wise, here in the lowlands it’s cloudy with a bit of sun, and finally there’s a light breeze. It’s nice for airing things out, but still warm. It was already 17 degrees this morning.

I need to cool off.

Something’s up with the weather again, because my knee is acting up like crazy. If the forecast is right, it’ll rain here on Wednesday; today it was sunny to partly cloudy, and the wind was brisk at times. The temperature was around 26 degrees; tomorrow it’s supposed to hit 29/30 degrees again😨

Here, the temperature dropped to 18 degrees this afternoon during a rain shower. It felt really cool.

Yesterday was very pleasant. A nice little breeze helped cool things down, too.

I’m still crocheting despite the heat, but not as much. Most of my time is taken up with gardening.

So I’ve turned to stones and crayons. That works well in the shade. I’m painting large stones—they’re going to become a path someday. So I still have quite a few left to go

Yesterday I went shopping early because I wanted to let another load of laundry dry outside. No sooner had I gotten home than the first downpour hit. Starting at noon, it rained very heavily almost nonstop. On top of that, there was a dreadful thunderstorm that lasted nearly 1 1/2 hours because it wouldn’t move past the Oste River. Thunderstorms and I—we just don’t mix.😨
Today doesn’t look very promising either, and it’s cooled down quite a bit.
