Old children’s bedding given a new twist

This used to be a pillowcase that belonged to one of my grandchildren; now it’s a gym bag and a laundry bag for the KT. I have more of these, so there will be a few more to come :-)

That’s a great idea. You can always use bags like these.

For crayons, for yarn and unfinished projects, for toy figures. I also like to take them along on outings.

The kids will love them

That’s really a great idea! As children’s bedding, it might not be so popular these days (although I personally think the designs are very cute), but you can always sew something new out of it. Kids are always in need of bags for all sorts of things.

Ina, the boy who owned this bedding turned 18 at the end of June :-) so he’s no longer a candidate for this kind of bedding :-)

I think bibs and summer pants for little ones are great. It’s that lovely, soft, well-worn fabric—perfect for this. And the cute designs are just right for these items. Mom and the kids will have something fun to look at. Plus, they’re soft, warm, and breathable. What a great idea for old bedding!

Was that children’s bedding, too? Your fabric stash must be huge!

No, Veronika. My middle daughter brought me a moving box last Friday, along with a big blue IKEA bag full of bedding and curtain fabric. My daughter lives in Baden-Württemberg, and they’re vacationing in the Fichtelgebirge—they practically have to drive right past my front door, so they took advantage of being nearby to stop for a visit. They’ll stop by again on their way back.
