Pattern mix, material mix + color mix: Do you feel like crafting right away?

Mermaids are always “in” with little girls! Mermaid Marina is about 40 cm tall when fully stretched out. Rico acrylic yarn was used for the body. To show the scales on the tail beautifully, I crocheted it in a bobble stitch pattern. The hair is made of mohair yarn, which looks especially realistic. Chenille wire was worked into the arms and the fishtail so they can be bent. (If you’re making Marina for small children, though, it’s better to leave out the wire—that’s no problem). 


I also like to work with different materials when making crocheted hand puppets. For the “King” hand puppet, for example, the king’s robe was crocheted from chenille yarn and edged with a crocheted border made of gold glitter yarn. The crown is made from the same glitter yarn. Plush yarn (Phil douce by Phildar) was used for the hair and beard, and the head and hands are made from cotton yarn.

Here I have for you a knitted blanket with 5 different patterns made from knit and purl stitches. The blanket is started in the center with a set of double-pointed needles, then you quickly switch to a small circular knitting needle. 



For this triangular shawl, I crocheted many different yarns together. Smaller leftovers at first, later also whole skeins. 

The shawl is crocheted from top to bottom, and the pattern repeat spans 2 rows. 

Beautiful boxes are very practical as gift packaging, but they’re also great for storing small items. Since handmade boxes can easily be changed in color, they can be wonderfully adapted to any taste.


 
This colorful box is made of photo cardstock and measures approx. 9.5 x 5.5 x 9.5 cm. It has dividers and can be used as a chocolate box for four chocolates of approx. ø 3–3.5 cm. Without dividers, it is suitable for all other little treasures.

Perfect for spring, these patterns are well suited for two different sizes.
