Just in time for the weekend, the nice weather has taken its leave. No big deal—I have a girls’ night out planned and am going out with some friends. And then tomorrow is our wedding anniversary—it’s been 31 years now—so I’ll bake a cake, and we’ll treat ourselves to a glass of sparkling wine, too.
Just like every day, I’ll keep crocheting on my temperature blanket over the weekend—the start of the year was 10 degrees warmer than the start of spring, and now it’s gotten even cooler again. And I’ve also started a new project: a summery pillow for the sofa. We have a big L-shaped sofa—black, leather, and accordingly boring—so I’m adding some pillows to it. I used to just have small, plain square ones, but that’s too boring for me now. Now I have bright red Christmas pillows with printed text—a dear friend sewed and printed them for me—and I’d already crocheted some Halloween pillows myself. I couldn’t find anything I liked for Easter, so for now I’m making something for summer.
Thanks, Josefa—have a great weekend, you and everyone else, too.
I’m cutting out my fabrics; the pants are already done, and now it’s time for the shirts. I’ve also chosen very simple, plain sewing patterns for the shirts, and they’ll be sewn without any frills. I’ll be back in town again next week anyway—I have Lufu—and after that I’ll pop into that fabric store in town again because I ordered a blouse pattern and I still need a nice fabric for it, so I’ve got plenty of work to do for now :-)
I wish you all a restful, peaceful weekend too; relax with your favorite pastime, handicrafts.
For me, it’s back to work until Sunday, then I’ll have 7 days behind me.
I’ll catch up on everything Mon–Wed, including my ENT check-up appointment.
Veronika, then have a lovely 31st wedding anniversary tomorrow. A glass of sparkling wine sounds great.🥂
Inge, you’ve certainly taken on a lot. Good luck to our sewing queen.✂
Weather-wise, it’s not supposed to be all that great, cold.
I hope you at least have a nice rest of your Sunday :). Unfortunately, I’m sick right now and the weather here in North Rhine-Westphalia is lousy. But I’ve planted a few vegetable seedlings—on the windowsill, of course.
Veronika, I wish you all the best on your 31st wedding anniversary! We’re also celebrating our 31st this summer. It’s wonderful that there are still couples who’ve been married this long.
I wish everyone here a wonderful rest of the weekend. It’s still winter outside, so it’s the perfect time to curl up on the couch with knitting needles and yarn.
