As a beginner, knitting these washcloths / dishcloths will help you learn various patterns along the way—all using just knit and purl stitches. You’ll have a great time. You’ll discover that washcloths are also sustainable when you knit them yourself. Best of all, you can decide for yourself which materials to use—for example, recycled yarn or organic cotton.

My Good Mood Scarf is absolutely beginner-friendly because the
pattern repeats throughout. It is explained in detail and also shown with a chart.
You’ll need either 300 g of sock-weight yarn or a gradient yarn cake with at least 1200 m of yardage.

A quick project to use up leftover yarn:
The hammock for small dolls is very easy to make, so even crochet beginners won’t have any trouble with it. You can also crochet it a bit larger so that small stuffed animals can fit inside too.

This was a summer project, but winter isn’t over yet! Do you miss a winter with lots of snow, complete with snowball fights and building snowmen?
Then take a look here:

The crafty snowman, who knits his own scarf (or crochets it, depending on which version you choose) is also a great beginner project that you can make with leftover yarn: The lid of an empty jam jar is crocheted around and the snowman goes on top. Isn’t that a cute way to give candy as a gift?

And here’s another snowman, this time as a bottle cover. This one is also very easy to crochet, since you just work single crochet stitches in spiral rounds. And the scarf is crocheted straight in rows.

If you’re just starting to crochet, you need simple stitches, simple designs, and quick wins. Here are a few examples from me.

I hope you have lots of fun making them.

Warm regards from Ina

Poncho for small dolls

You can crochet it in 3 different versions. Small leftover yarns are enough. With gradient yarns, you immediately get an even nicer effect. So, little effort for beautiful doll clothes.

Rug “Spirella”

Here you can crochet a small round rug with a diameter of 75 cm from inexpensive acrylic yarn. We crochet with 3 strands, so it’s finished quickly. An eye-catcher for the children’s room or wherever you need it. The back is rubberized to make it non-slip.

A friendly hello to everyone 😃. I’d like to introduce you to Karl. An absolutely beginner-friendly knitted tunic. Only knit stitches and simple decreases, knitted seamlessly in one piece. Ideal for gradient yarn, but leftover yarn can also be used well.

The November Day Hat is well suited for beginners. It is knitted in the round, and for the pattern you only need to know knit and purl stitches. The pattern is written for you round by round.

In terms of size, the hat can be knitted from a head circumference of 30–55 cm. So you can make the hat for the whole family in every color.

This crocheted dishcloth is also suitable for beginners.

They are made from a pattern that only spans one row, a small project—so you’ll quickly have a success in your hands.

A lovely gift for an invitation, or why not crochet a few colorful cloths for your own kitchen?

Ideal if you have colorful yarn scraps; each row can be crocheted in a new color.

For the pattern you need to know chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.

Even crafting beginners can make these tea light holders: If you just work carefully enough, you’ll be delighted with your new decoration very soon.

The tea light holders are made of photo cardstock and measure approximately 15 cm in diameter.

For beginning knitters, I find it especially motivating to knit smaller projects that are easy but don’t look that way at all. That’s where these little cloths, which you can use as washcloths or dishcloths, are ideal. They knit up fairly quickly, only knit and purl stitches are needed, and the result looks great!

In all the patterns presented here, every row is written out stitch by stitch, so you can knit comfortably following the pattern. If you prefer knitting from a chart, of course you’ll find that included in the pattern too.

Even as a crafting beginner, you can surprise someone with homemade packaging. If you make these simple boxes out of photo cardstock in beautiful colors that match the occasion and then decorate them with cord, ribbon, and ready-made decorative elements, they’ll quickly and easily turn into gorgeous little treasures.

These four small boxes have edge lengths of approximately 3, 4, 5, and 6 cm. They’re also very easy for children to recreate.

This hat is very easy to knit. You’ll need thick merino wool and size 5 knitting needles. You can use leftover yarn for the colorful Rasta braids.
