Patterns with owl motifs

I’m always amazed at how popular owl designs are. I’ve just added a new pattern to my lineup, and a colleague has a little owl pouch—and both are very popular.
You’d think this kind of craze would eventually fade, but owls have been a hit on and off for several years now.
Why owls, and not frogs or dolls or beetles or... ?

grrrr.... sorry, I was in the wrong place here :-(

It's just as much of a mystery to me why owls are still so popular. Maybe it's because of the big eyes?
But the trend for virus shawls or those mermaid tails is just as surprising.

I wonder about that myself all the time. I have to admit, I just don’t get it. If it were up to me, frogs, for example, would be the new trend ;D Still, I’ve now gone along with this owl craze and am going to design my first owl ;)
Challenges are always good.
