Busy little elves: how was your start to October?

dear little elves, 
are you doing well? What are you up to?

My start to October was a bit of a mixed bag—first, my husband had his birthday, which was really nice, and then I ended up with a sinus infection that’s giving me quite a headache. Other than that, I’m doing fine🤪

I also started October with a patient—this time it was Leo.
Thanks to good medicine, though, he’s back in top shape, and we can enjoy golden October to the fullest!

I’m currently working on a new patterned shawl, but mostly I’m just doing nothing right now because I have other obligations piling up (tax return *cough*) that I’d rather put off... And since I feel guilty when I’m crocheting, I’d rather waste my evenings doing absolutely nothing :P (Yep—pretty silly! I know!)

I’m knitting a sweater.
However, I had to unravel a few rounds today because I’m having trouble transitioning from the round yoke to the raglan shaping.
Now I’m going straight for a top-down raglan.

The weather is heavenly, the Halloween decorations are all set, I’m taking it easy getting started on the Christmas decorations—everything’s great, nothing to complain about. It’s normal for us to have a little ache here and there. As long as it doesn’t get worse, everything’s fine. It can stay this way for a while.
And if my crocheting keeps going this well, I might even manage to make another bag before Christmas, and then I can start on the temperature blanket on January 1st.

I’m knitting a pair of kids’ socks and some kids’ mittens using yarn from the swap.
Over the weekend, I embroidered two fall cards. The nice thing about fall is that there’s time for crafts again once the yard is tidied up. But there’s still quite a bit to do in my garden.
That’s because I want to take a trip around Germany with my friend on October 19.
We’re heading to Berlin for a craft meetup, and along the way we’d like to meet some fellow crafters.
