Weaving in ends invisibly

Dear users, dear authors,
how can you weave in ends (almost) invisibly when crocheting and knitting?

Does anyone else have anything to add?

I’m a little bothered by the word “weave in” in your question — specifically because I try to avoid weaving in ends whenever possible. Often, when crocheting, you can simply hide the starting and/or ending ends in the new row. You crochet the stitches that hold the old end just a little tighter so that, in the end, all the stitches look equally even (photo by me):



And when knitting, I also avoid weaving in ends. When I knit with thick yarn, I split the yarn end in half over a length of about 15 cm. I do the same with the beginning of the yarn from the new skein. Then I place both halved strands in the palm of my hand and rub them together. The fibers then cling to each other and twist together. This way, I can simply keep knitting without the yarn change being visible (photo by me):
