Crochet hook size for beginners?

which crochet hooks would you recommend for beginners?

I recommend a size 3 or 4 crochet hook, or something in between.

When working with yarn, try out what works best and don’t rely solely on the label, as it can vary quite a bit from the specified hook sizes.
Your work will either turn out much looser or much tighter.

Since hands come in different sizes, I would also add hand size as a factor. Large hands = larger crochet hook (4 to 5), simply because it feels better in the hand. Delicate hands = a more delicate crochet hook size (3 to 4). Later, once you know how, you can crochet with any size. But in the beginning, to learn the handling, the crochet hook needs to fit your hand well.

And you should also pay attention to choosing a light color for your first crochet project so you can see the stitches well. Dark colors are not so ideal. Add daylight and you can clearly see what you’re doing.

There are different crochet hooks in terms of shape. Yes, they all have a hook at the front. But the handle is different. Here you shouldn’t use a plain metal crochet hook like the ones they used to have. It should ideally have a coated, non-slip handle .
