Intarsientechnik oder Tapestry

Guten Morgen, bei meinem Besuch in der Bücherei habe ich ein Häkelbuch mit nach Hause genommen, das mich angesprochen hat. 

Gleich hatte ich auch eine Idee für ein Geschenk zur Geburt und häkle nun Buchstaben im Garten. 

Meine Frage an euch: Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Intarsientechnik - so wird es in dem Buch beschrieben und Tapestry häkeln. Trotz lesen im www finde ich den Unterschied nicht wirklich.

Und so sieht mein Buchstabe aus. Liegt es an der Menge der Farben? Ich häkle nur mit 2 verschiedenen Farben.

I imagine the difference is this:

With intarsia crochet , you use several small balls of yarn per color while crocheting. You can then see the floats on the back.

With tapestry crochet , you use both threads at the same time. One thread is crocheted over, and the other is the working yarn. With this technique, you don’t see any floats, so both sides look good.

Both sides look nice to me, so I’m doing tapestry crochet.

Yes, the book mentioned something about lots of little yarn bobbles, but I always work the thread right into the stitches.

It’s almost addictive to crochet such beautiful designs. My latest project was a baby book and a few dishcloths.
