My granddaughter made her first hand-embroidery project under my supervision: three felt coasters for her mom’s birthday. She used everyone’s favorite colors in the coasters.

Your granddaughter is so lucky. It’s sooooo wonderful when a grandma can pass on her experiences to her grandchildren.
And… her mom will be over the moon.

Wow, they turned out great! And I don’t think embroidering on felt is all that easy for a beginner. How old is your granddaughter?

What a lovely idea. Yes, it really is something special when grandmas can teach their grandchildren something—and the grandchildren are eager to learn.

Your granddaughter has not only talent but also perseverance. Most people would have tossed the rest in the corner after just one coaster… or ended up with knots in their fingers. Great job! A lovely, personal birthday gift.
