My doll kindergarten in a group photo

Dear doll moms,

today I’m finally showing you my doll family in a group photo—there are actually 11 of them now. A few of my teddy bears are in the picture, too. They’re all sitting nicely here in a corner of the sofa. I knitted or crocheted every single one of them myself. It’s turned into quite a large collection. The pillow in the corner has a picture I painted printed on it.

I’ll post here every now and then whenever there’s something new.

The raglan dress I knitted for Lena actually fits my Rosalie (58 cm) very well.

Wow, what a rambunctious bunch! And I recognize Zotty right away—I have a few of those, too.

Oh wow, Monika, what an impressive number—and all getting along so well together—it’s wonderful.

Yes, Veronika, I’d always wanted that Zotty as a kid, and it wasn’t until later that I finally got him. That’s how childhood dreams come true. :)

Ines, they don’t usually sit together in such large numbers—they’re usually spread out nicely. But at least four of them are actually sitting in this corner.

Zotty was my very first teddy bear—back when I was a baby. My brother had a teddy bear (the “Teddy” model from Steiff), and he now lives with me and Zotty, too. Then I have another Zotty from my mother-in-law, who bought it as an adult because she didn’t have one as a child. And I stumbled upon a Zotty from HermannTeddy on eBay by chance—for just 1 euro! Who on earth would give away a Zotty for one euro? It was crazy—I just had to snap it up.

Yeah, it must get pretty cramped on your sofa when they’re all together, Monika! It’s so cute how you’ve dressed them all up so nicely.
I’m more into stuffed animals—I love the soft fur. (That’s why I prefer dolls with hair, too.)

Ruth, I love stuffed animals just as much, especially teddy bears.
Veronika, I found Zotty in my swap group once, and he was mine right away.

Oh, Marion, it just occurred to me that there used to be a movie called “Cheaper by the Dozen.” Who knows… but I definitely don’t plan on filling out the dozen just yet.

It’s funny that my husband is having fun with Lara, too. I’m currently knitting for her. He keeps pressing her tummy so she makes noises. So cute! When my granddaughters come to visit, they’ll have a blast. By the way, Juna was really happy about her baby and plays with it a lot. And Linja got the older doll, the boy. He spends a lot of time sitting on the potty now. It’s totally cute how the two of them play with their babies.

What I’m still looking for for Linja is a bottle that you can fill with water and that has a tip on the front that fits into the doll’s mouth. That would be a huge hit with Linja.
