Hi, I’m still pretty new here and just discovered the forum. I bought a pattern, and it said you can post anytime and ask for help. I’ve tried on various websites, but I still haven’t received any help or a response. Is it maybe better to ask for help here in the forum if the pattern’s author isn’t responding? Because it’s really a shame—I paid €5.40 for the pattern and, unfortunately, I really regret buying it…
I look forward to a reply.

You can definitely always ask questions here in the forum if you get stuck. Maybe Josefa could check in with the author again?

That’s very kind, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, maybe the pattern needs to be revised. Another buyer I found had also complained about that but didn’t get a response either.
It was the Crisalino onesie for babies 0–6 months. There are no details about the sizes, and the smallest one is much too small, because you have to remember that the little one will also be wearing a thick diaper underneath, among other things.
If you have a pattern with such a big size range, from 0 to 6 months, you really need to give different stitch counts. I’m not a beginner; I’m 59 and have been knitting since I was 8 years old.

Hello Piani, actually, all authors usually respond quite quickly when they have a direct message in their mailbox here on CP. Maybe Crisalino is ill or on vacation. Unfortunately, there is no (yet) function to mark yourself as "temporarily absent until ...".

My suggestion would be that you write another message to the support at CP. To do that, scroll all the way down here. Somewhere at the bottom right, under the heading "Help and support," there is the line "Contact support." Behind that is a moderator from CP who will then try to contact the author. Sometimes that helps ;-)

The technical issue you have with the pattern has to be clarified between you and the author. No one else can step in and help instead. It’s best to do something else for now and wait a little longer. There’s no point in starting the project if you still have questions. After all, every handmade project involves a lot of work, and in the end it should fit as well.

Best wishes, Ina

Hi Piano,

Thank you very much for your purchase from me. I’m a little surprised, because you haven’t contacted me either by email or by message. All the details are linked in the pattern. How can I help you?
The pattern has already been calculated, and as soon as your gauge is correct, you can simply get started.

Every customer receives a reply from me very quickly, even on weekends 😊 That’s why I’m a little surprised right now.

Feel free to send me a message and we’ll find a solution.

Warm regards
Christine from Crisalino

I contacted Crisalino earlier, and she responded right away. So I hope the current problem can be resolved.

If it turns out that you generally can't reach an author, you can contact me or support. We'll sort it out.

Hi again ☺️

I just checked all the channels again and can’t find a single message from you, dear Piano.

Michaela from customer support has now also contacted me, asking me to respond quickly and help you.

So once again, please feel free to contact me. Either by email at crisa_b[at]web.de or here on crazypatterns.

Best regards, Crisa

Hi, thanks for the reply. My username is Pieani,
I just checked again: I wrote on February 6 via Facebook, which was also listed, since I don’t have all communication channels on my phone, and again on February 10 saying that I had tried it on my own. Size-wise, nothing fits, and if the suit is supposed to be for up to 6 months, there should also be measurements for the other sizes with different stitch counts.
I also had some trouble with the leaf pattern and with the decrease during the bind-off process. Why only there doesn’t make sense to me, so I didn’t find the pattern 100% good. I don’t think €5.40 for a pattern is reasonable when the sizes, measurements, and stitch counts are missing.
I’ve copied the question below,

I still had questions about binding off at the top; I find it strange to decrease in the bind-off row... Overall I thought the pattern was quite good... I also think the hood is too big for a newborn. The suit no longer fits a 3-month-old baby. Too bad... I regret buying the pattern
