This thread offers plenty of space to present your lonely yarn and gather ideas for using it.

eine Freundin von mir sucht günstige Bobbels 4fach 50/50 für eine Decke
insgesamt ca. 6000m - falls jemand was "rumliegen" hat, was noch keine Verwendung gefunden hat,
evtl. wäre ja was für Sie dabei 🤔
Farblich ist sie noch offen - mag gerne Herbsttöne - aber auch kräftige Farben (sollte möglichst zu "Grau" passen)

I have 4 skeins of this yarn.

Why did I buy it? Back in 2013, I just thought it was beautiful. But I have absolutely no idea what I could make with it. 

Petra, das bietet sich dich an für ein Tier Teddy ect. Aber auch eine Mütze oder einen Schal kann ich mir gut vorstellen. Das ist gestimmt schön warm.

Teddy vielleicht einen kleinen. Muss muss mal schauen, wie man einen Teddy strickt. Kann mir häkeln gar nicht vorstellen. Ob man da die maschen sieht?

I find this a difficult yarn to crochet with. I once worked with a similarly “furry” yarn. I could only knit with it because I could see the stitches on the needle. Crocheting it in one piece just wasn’t possible. And 4 skeins is really only a small amount. That wouldn’t be nearly enough for a pillow. Otherwise, I actually would have thought of a pillow—just the top side. With a large hook, it might be enough. The back of the pillow could then be a solid color and stuffed with synthetic craft batting. I’ve seen finished pillows like that in furniture stores before.

or a fluffy border on a shawl or scarf/loop, similar to this one: Crochet a Reversible Shawl // Soft and Fluffy (crazypatterns.net)  Or, for example, something like this: “Patent” Hooded Loop—quick to knit and super soft (crazypatterns.net), then with a border around the face, like a fur trim, or, depending on the length, as wrist warmers 🤔

There are actually a few options. Thank you all. 

I like the idea as an edging. Especially for a hat.

Ina, I also think you can only knit with this yarn.

I have an 800m 4-ply cotton yarn —unfortunately, the color is a bit too bold in person.
I used the first ball to make a C2C baby blanket for a coworker,
and now I still have one ball left 🙄

I don’t like the color for clothing or accessories,
but I’d thought about maybe making towels or something similar 🤔
Do you guys have any other crochet ideas? 

Shopping bags or a beach bag—the colors can definitely be a bit bolder for those.

Ich habe auch so einen Bobbel. Sollte ein Kleid für eine 4 jährige werden, aber ich werde wohl ein Tuch draus machen.

an sich sind die Farben ja schön - als Babydecke oder für ein farbenfrohes Mädchen,
aber für mich mit 50 irgendwie doch nicht mehr 🤔🙄🤣😂🤣

Besorge dir Wolle in hübschen Farben und leg los.

No, no, I’m not going gray-on-gray—but apricot, salmon, and quartz just aren’t my colors at all.

Wow, Petra Perle—there are some great things there—some are a bit too colorful for my taste—but I’ll have to take a closer look at the shop when I get the chance. Amazing—so many ideas! 

I wanted to show you that it’s okay to be a little—and I mean this in the nicest way—crazy.
Sure, she’s flamboyant, but how great is it that we get to meet people like that...
I also wear nothing but black, but I’m always happy to add a bright scarf or a colorful shawl.

ist gar kein Problem, hab ich auch nicht persönlich genommen 😘, hab schon verstanden wie es gemeint war und die Sachen von Perle sind auch ja auch ganz toll (nur halt nix für mich - höchstens farblich abgewandelt!)
Diese Sachen passen ja auch toll zu schwarz 😉
Da bin ich mit meinen "Farbtönen" wieder um einiges mehr farblich gebunden 🙄
Vielleicht sollte ich auch auf schwarze Kleidung umsteigen 🤔
Ne Freundin von mir (ist um einiges jünger) trägt immer schon grau und schwarz, damit entfällt ein Kombi-Problem schon von alleine - und "farbige" Tücher sind dann gerne gesehen 😂😂

a pot scrubber (round or square, folded in half—hope you know what I mean) 😉

Yes, a flower can be used as a dish sponge or exfoliating sponge. Or as the final round (border) for a coaster. 

Maybe even a pom-pom for a hat
