Selling on CP

Hi friends, authors, and bloggers

can you tell me how to sell patterns and what exactly needs to be considered... whether it’s the sale itself, registering with the authorities, etc.

I’d appreciate any tips

Hi,
to put it briefly:
you’ll usually need to register as a business with your local municipality.
Then you’ll need to come up with ideas, turn them into a well-written pattern, take great photos, and upload the pattern here after you’ve registered as an author.
Test crocheters, knitters, and sewists work through the “draft pattern” beforehand for many people here to spot any potential errors.
It takes some time for the first patterns to be approved here, since they have to be reviewed, but Support can explain that to you in more detail.
And then it makes sense to promote yourself (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

And then you just have to hope that you’ve struck a chord with your customers and met their tastes.

You’ll need to register a business or already have one. And it’s best to start without high expectations, simply because it’s fun. You do need a little patience until things get going. But it’s worth sticking with it.

Are there specific things you’d still like to have answered? Have you tried to shed some light on it yourself yet?

So the first step would be: register a business, OR do it as a freelancer. (That was also mentioned in the previous answers.)
