Christmas Dinner 2021: What are you having?

Dear users, dear authors,
what are you eating for Christmas?

Definitely Saxon potato salad.
Other than that, nothing’s planned.

At our house, our son-in-law is cooking on Christmas Eve. This year, he suggested a “Spanish-inspired” menu.

We’re actually always on board with his suggestions, so this year we’ll be having

paella, Spanish cheese, grilled vegetables, potatoes, ham, and dates wrapped in bacon (that’s what I managed to remember). Some of it will be served warm, and some cold. That way, we can sit together for a long time, eating and chatting.

I get to bake the bread to go with it.  

This year, we’re having raclette on Christmas Eve.
It used to be a tradition for my better half—his parents always served it.
I’ve always been reluctant to do it—it just doesn’t feel like Christmas to me :D
But this year I agreed to it...

On Christmas Day, we’ll need to give our stomachs a break—nothing big on the menu...

On Boxing Day, we’ll have lunch from an Italian restaurant. 

I haven’t a clue what we’re having for dinner on Christmas Eve; my daughter isn’t saying a word, and I couldn’t get anything out of my son-in-law either when he called today with a question.
During the holidays, my husband and I will be home alone for dinner again, so I’m not going to go all out. One day I’ll make chicken drumsticks in a creamy mushroom sauce with bread dumplings, served with a salad, and on the second holiday I’ll make steaks and potato wedges, or a roast with Brussels sprouts and dumplings. No idea yet, it depends on what we feel like eating.

On Christmas Eve, it’ll just be the two of us. My husband loves potato salad and sausages, just like when he was a kid. He’ll be getting that. I’ll make pasta salad for myself—I don’t like potatoes.
On Christmas Day, we’re having raclette. We used to have either turkey or goose, but that’s way too much for us now.
After that, we’ll just eat leftovers and otherwise give our stomachs a break. *g*

We'll probably have red cabbage, potatoes, and a mushroom dish on at least one day. The rest will be decided spontaneously.
