My baby blankets are great to crochet using gradient yarn cakes. They are crocheted in one piece, so there is no need to sew small individual pieces together later.
Depending on whether you want to crochet a warm blanket for fall and winter or a light summer blanket, you can of course adapt the material and choose freely.

This great shopping bag is perfect for anyone who wants to try Tunisian crochet. It’s crocheted using the basic Tunisian stitch, which is explained in detail in the pattern. There’s nothing else to worry about—you simply crochet a rectangle, and the colors emerge directly from the skein. Then, the bag is folded like origami (which is why it’s called an origami bag) and sewn together. The handle and the decorative border along the seam are then crocheted using conventional techniques.
